"When, in the early 1980`s, Gerard R. Lang set out to develop and exclusively manufacture mechanical wristwatches, many detractors thought that this was an idea whose time had passed. Within a few years after its founding, though, Chronoswiss was able to outline its own market profile, and develop a philosophy based on high quality mechanical watches for customers who are sensitive to the exceptional and wish to have their wristwatches express their individual life-style.
